New Year

Happy 2014 everybody. I hope 2013 was a good year for you guys and wish a positive 2014 to you all.

I want to share what I learned during our church service yesterday. I felt like God was really talking to me.

It was about TRACTION, getting a GRIP and getting out of the ruts of this world. To move in a forward direction, you must have traction. The world brings lots of distractions, that make us just spin our tires. There are very obvious large distractions, but there are small distractions as well. Bad Attitudes, Excuses, Procrastination, and Busyness are very common distractions that make us loose traction. It is very easy for us to fall into these traps, because the world and culture push these distractions.

To gain traction, you need to get a grip.
“So take a grip with your tired hands and stand firm on your shaky legs” Hebrews 12:12 You can gain momentum by disrupting your patterns. “Do you think I came to smooth things over and make everything nice? Not so. I’ve come to disrupt and confront!” Luke 12:51 Jesus came to disrupt the patterns that the world have set. “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is. ” Romans 12:2 Rely on Gods strength, not on your own. The end of our strength can be the turning point to discover the power and might of God. Identify and Implement small action steps you can take each day. Don’t focus on one big action step. One big step doesn’t take you anywhere. Taking 365 steps will take you somewhere, it will give you a direction. The “right time”, or “tomorrow” will never come. Make it happen TODAY. “If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done.” Ecclesiastes 11:4 Persistently peruse your action steps. Don’t be afraid to fail. You will fail, it is not a question of if you fail, the question is how will you handle your failure? “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. ” Galatians 6:9

I challenge us all to mix it up this new year. Break the habits that the world have put us in. Let’s gain grip and stop spinning our tires and get out of these ruts. Take little steps everyday and stay persistent. I am guilty of setting very high goals and never really try to achieve, because I am afraid of failure. Failure will come in life, turn to God and realize you are not strong enough. Take your failure and learn from it to reach your goals.

I wish you all a great new year. Thanks for checking in and God Bless.
