While attending the Neo race, Megan went to the doctor and got an ultrasound of the baby. We’ve had it planned that when the doctor saw the sex of the baby, we would have her write in on a piece of paper. We would seal it up in an envelope and then have a date night and open it up that night. The planned date to get the ultrasound and see the sex was May 9, but like many life things, things changed. She got the ultrasound early and I was out of town. She had to wait till I got back home. We are both very impatient people, so I knew it would be tough. I landed late Tuesday night, Megan had to work Wednesday, so we had our date night planned for Thursday. Wednesday night, we put Roz to sleep, we were just relaxing on the couch and talking, catching up from being out of town. Megan then said, “let’s open the envelope”. We were too excited and we couldn’t wait. It’s such a weird thing to find out the sex. Especially this time. We were looking at the paper, the other side said if it is a boy or a girl. It’s a very permanent thing, there is no changing it. I didn’t really think much about what I thought the sex would be. I just wanted a healthy baby. Megan has really wanted a boy, but she also wanted to have a sister for Roz. Roz thought it was a girl for a while, then she changed her mind and now she thinks it a boy.

We opened the paper and saw the writing. It was soooooooooo exciting and we just sat there taking it all in. Of course, me being me, I shed more tears than a girl should have.

The next night we still had out date night. My Mon watched Roz and Megan and I went to a really good Italian restaurant called Jasper’s. We’ve been there once before and it was just as good as the first time.

Well our little baby is a boy!!!!! Pretty excited to have a boy and keep the Tebo name going as I’m an only child. We aren’t sure on a name yet. Names are very tough to choose. Megan and I grew up in different areas too, so we knew different people growing up. It seems we always know somebody with that name and we didn’t like that person. It’s gonna be tough this time I think.

Our date was great. The food was awesome and the view was cool too. There is a creek behind the restaurant and we had major rains earlier and the water was ripping.

We topped off the date with watching Heaven is for Real at the movies. Megan and I read the book together, and we were excited to watch the movie. It was really good and a great ending to our special date. We are very excited to be having a little boy, and more excited that everything is looking healthy.
