My Testimony

God blessed me with an amzing opportunity to share my testimony with our church. We have been attending Rock Brook Church in Belton, MO since 2009. We really it there, and we have become good friends with a lot of people there. Unfortunantely the weekend they had the video at church, I was attending the Worlds in Chico, CA. I feel like this blog has been a calling from God, but I haven’t taken that step to share my faith much on here yet. I am very excited, but very nervous at the same time to put this out into the RC community. God has really changed my life for the better and blessed me in ways that I never thought were possible. I hope my story can reach people that are hurt and give them the courage to turn to God for help.

    • Thanks. Yeah I have seen there stuff before. It seems pretty awesome. I will have to try to get in contact with them. We all need to get God’s glory into the world!

  3. Towards the end of your video I find myself crying, you’ve gone through so much in a relatively short period of time. Highs and lows have come in equal measure and I find your words inspiring. I’m having a few personal problems and while I’m unsure if praying is for me it is something to consider. I hope the future is bright for you and for family.

    • I am praying for you! If you find yourself in a spot where you can pray, I know you will never look back. The Lord is unfailing, and while we all face difficult circumstances, when we walk with Him, talk with Him, our perspective changes and we can look at those circumstances with different eyes. Hang in there!

      • Thank you. We all can use Prayer. We are doing pretty good, We know Bella is up with Jesus and we can’t wait to be with her one day.

    • Life is wild at times. I feel truly blessed that my story was an inspiration to you. I don’t want to push too hard, as I have been on both sides. I really was against the idea of religion. There are bad people in churches and they bring down the truth about finding Jesus Christ. If you are struggling, just try talking to him. I was finished with life, I had nothing left, and I tried the last thing that I thought could help me, and that night has forever changed my life. Thanks for sharing with me, and God Bless

  5. Jared, this video of your testimony is God Sent. I am so proud of you but more proud of what OUR God is doing through you. Landen and I call you our team-mate and friend but more important – Brother in Christ. Bible never says that living for God is easy but it does say that He is always with us and that nothing will be put on us that we can’t handle as long as we allow him to drive our life.   7. Jared thank you for being a strong and influential man. Your testimony is amazing, you have great courage. I have a 16yr old that races RC and we were able to visit with you briefly at the ROAR Nats in Houston this year. He was glad he got to meet you. He hasn’t watched your testimony yet but I know when he does it will be special for him. Kids dream and have role models, you sir are much more than that.     I have a 14 year-old son who has taken up R/C racing. We love the Lord at our house and do our best to walk with Him. I’m so thankful that my son can see others who share the love of Christ in a world that he feels comfortable. I just got done watching your testimony–my son actually brought it to me and made me sit down and watch it. What an incredible video. It’s amazing to get to the point in our journey with Christ that we can call the things with which we struggle blessings, because they make us turn to Him.

  18. Hey Jared, just want to chime in with all the others and say thanks for sharing your testimony. I’m sure it was not easy, but know that God has and will continue to use it to reach and bless others. I just got into rc this year, had no idea people even raced them professionally, now I have a favorite to root for at the big events…

    • I feel very blessed He is using my story to reach to people. Enjoy RC, when I started I didn’t know that there were tracks and racing either. Its a great industry, I hope you can enjoy it, come say hi to me if we are ever at the same event.

    Jared, you are a true ambassador to our sport and please keep it up. It is people like you that we need in this small R/C community. This is what makes you my favorite driver.

        That is what makes you the great person you are. You don’t think of yourself as a higher person and understand we are all equal. God blessed you with great talent and a great heart.

        I haven’t had a chance to meet you in person but I definitely would love too. I’ve been following your racing career when I started racing a MP7.5 Kanai Edition.

  20. Thank you for sharing this Jared. I personally appreciate it as I have been having a difficult time myself. It helped me to keep in mind that I am on “God’s path”. Not my path. I am very happy that you are saved by Jesus and the Holy Spirit has found you.

    • God’s path is a great place to be. At times it is very far from your path, but you have to just remember that He knows best and in the end, it will be better. The greatest thing about being with God and Jesus Christ, in the end, WE WIN and the devil looses. Life might be hard sometimes on earth and we might not get everything we want, but it really doens’t even matter. WE WIN. In heaven it wont matter if we won a certain race, or got a certain job, or wore certain clothes.

    I just wanted to share a tool I use to keep in the word and learn as I am on the road racing. I figured this may be really helpful to you.

    Go to Truthforlife.org

    There are sermons on there and devotionals. So many it would keep you busy and learning for years.

    They also have apps for android and iphones. The preacher is outstanding and educated in the word.

Jared, your testimony has touched my heart, your story is very similar to my own (well besides being a world class competitor, I’m an amature bmain kind of guy haha) I was saved a little over a year ago and it’s been an incredible journy, I’ve alway been a fan since I’m a kyosho fan as well and I was just dealing with the thoughts of how I have no fellow Christian rc racers to race with at my local club and how it’s hard at times being a Christian within the rc crowd and 10min later I see your testimony video on liverc. Gods timing never ceases to amaze me.
    Thank you for sharing your testimony, your a strong man and an amazing competitor.

    Maybe the next time your racing in SoCal you can spare a few min to chat about god, family, and rc’s as I try and make it a point to attend all the big races down here atleast to watch with my sons. it would be an honor to meet you and shake your hand!

    • That is awesome that you came to Jesus Christ and got saved. It’s an amazing journey to be on. I too have struggled with trying to become a better follower, and then not really having people at the races that are on that same path. We need to be there for those people though. We need to be the light at the track. Please come up to me if you see me at a race. I’d love to chat and meet you.

    • That is awesome that he was excited enough about it to show you. I feel very blessed to have my racing career where I can show Gods love and mercy to people. I am blown away by the comments I have received from this. God is soooooooooooo good! Thank you for what you do and for changing kids lives

  26. Jared – I’m proud of you for standing up for what truly matters. Victories on the track are great but there is nothing like an eternal victory through salvation. I’m glad to hear how the Lord is working in your life and using you to further the Kingdom. I hope you (as well as I) will have more eternal trophies than all of the ones you have here on earth. I have three Christian boys (by the grace of God) who have become RC crazy this past year. You are by far their favorite and they enjoyed following you at the worlds. Congrats and we will keep you in our prayers.
